HELLO AND WELCOME!
Sarah in a nutshell:
(the short version)
I’m Dr. Sarah Court, and I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a movement mentor, and a yoga teacher trainer. I’m the creator of Quantum Leap Community, a continuing education online mentorship group that helps movement teachers methodically and clearly understand how to work with their more challenging clients while staying within their scope of practice. I also teach public workshops and teacher trainings internationally, bringing together the worlds of yoga, strength, and neuromuscular exercise. Most recently, I created yoga and movement content for the Headspace meditation app, and a Pain Science con ed course for YogaU Online. I live in Los Angeles, and split my time between teaching and clinical rehab work.
And here's the long version:
I started teaching yoga in NYC, 5 years before moving to LA in 2009. After a few years here, I was ready for a new challenge and so I decided to become a physical therapist (a process that took about 6 years and many new gray hairs). I love my work as a PT, and because I straddle both the yoga and the PT worlds, I get to work on all kinds of different projects that pull from both skills sets, whether it’s creating movement content for companies like Headspace, teaching public workshops at yoga studios, or developing my own courses online.
For fun, I love hiking in the mountains around LA (previously with my dog Pearl, though she has now retired from her hiking career and spends most of her time napping). I’ve recently discovered the joy of motorcycle riding and I’m working on gaining proficiency while looking as cool as possible (I’m pretty sure the cool part is only in my imagination - you can't look that cool if you're only going 10 miles per hour).
