VIDEO 1: Strength
Use it or lose it can refer to a lot of things, but your physical strength is top of the list. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that strength decreases begin in your 20s-30s! Learn bodyweight and minimal prop fundamental strength moves that carry over into your yoga practice and your life.
VIDEO 2: Mobility
Mobility is useful flexibility, that requires both range of motion and strength to bring yourself into a position. Feel the difference and acquire useful mobility techniques to support your day to day activities. We'll also delve into breathing practices and build ribcage mobility from the inside out.
VIDEO 3: Balance
Real-life balance skills require quick reaction times and the ability to catch yourself in any position. Balance practice is learning how to catch yourself before the fall happens! We’ll explore different strategies and techniques that fortify your inherent balance skills.
VIDEO 4: Play
In which we combine everything we’ve learned about strength, mobility and balance, and turn it into a playful movement exploration. Reconnect with the fun of movement as a full-bodied expression of yourself. You’ll leave feeling energized and motivated to keep your lifetime commitment to your body’s well-being.
FAQs
How difficult are these classes?
Equivalent to an open level yoga or exercise class, but with many options for props and adjustments or alternative options to make it work for everyone.
What props do I need?
Ideally: 2 yoga blocks, a blanket, a strap, long resistance bands, massage balls, hand weights, and 2 massage balls with a tote.
Substitutions: 2 hardcover books, a belt, tennis ball, gallon container filled with liquid or backpack filled with books, 2 tennis balls in a sock.
